I have just bought a Conn C-Melody saxophone, and the mouthpiece that came with it is marked
Superifure
BARBU

It has a metal ring round the shank.
I'm curious to know who made it, and when.
Has anyone heard of these?

I guess it reads «*Supérieure*» not Superifure.

Maybe a Lelandais? Looks similar to mouthpieces branded as (but not made by) Buffet Crampon and Couesnon.

No doubt you are right about “Supérieure“.
It is written in capitals, so the bottom of the second “E” may be worn away.
And I had been speculating what strange European Language it might be!

Thank you for the information.
