After almost two years of studying, tweaking, writing and rewriting, I have finally released a series of Harmonic Xpanders for Logic. These are small widgets that can be inserted into the Logic environment. They are based on the Oberheim Xpander's rotate mode (most famously used by Michael Brecker on tunes such as "Original Rays") but go many steps further in their playability and implementation.

Features include:
Up to four static and four rotating voices
Rotating voices can be set to up, down or random rotation through assigned pitches
Independent assignment of outgoing MIDI channel for each voice to allow for a multitude of routing possibilities
Example files are included in the package so getting up and running is fairly straightforward

This package aso includes a Channel Strip I programmed for easy access to mapping CC data for the EWI (or other wind controller)

You can find out more, listen to audio demos and ask questions at: http://www.ewilogic.com/shop/harmonic-xpander-v1-0/

Happy Harmonizing!

Very cool John, nice work. I still have my actual Oberheim Xpander, bought in 1986! It gathers dust nowadays, but I used to do a lot of session and theatre work on it at one time.
Very best
Dave
