Happy Birthday, Blue Bossa, first recorded on this date 48 years ago in 1963! Arguably the tune most often called (and mauled!) in jam sessions nowadays, here's a playing tip for less-experienced players: The C, G, or F blues scales will work over the entire tune -- it might sound weird on that spot where the tune goes up a half step, so play them really fast there, or do something, anything, in altissimo.
