Just saw this movie and really enjoyed it.
This is highly recommended.

Kind of interested… I met Don Shirley a few times in the 70s through the pianist Al Haig, who was a friend of mine. Perfectly nice guy…but he thought jazz was a lesser art.

well, of course it's about him - because as an accomplished classical pianist he was denied the opportunity to play classical music and so was forced into this kind of touring. Trust me, that changed him, pissed him off a lot.

Thats very cool that you got to meet him. Sorry, I left out the word JUST.
It should say that it wasn’t really just about him.

It was about so much more for me, including family, relationships, segregation, etc, etc...

It’s a wonderful movie that I would recommend to everyone!!!
