One of my favourite bands- supported them in London a few months ago (very few original members though).... In the words of the Cramps- "You've got Goooood taste!" :)

Did you have any luck picking up an 'under the reed' bug by the way?

No. I rang them but they didn't seem to know what I was talking about. Not worried I only really wanted it for one project. I have my flute tootlebug ready to fit again which was the real pain..hearing my flute even when I'm doing the Rahsaan bit I can't hear anything. One will turn up if I keep looking, I'm after a full Gibson Maestro system ala the 60's Mothers of Invention for that nasty electric sax vibe. In most of the stuff I do live I'm on bari or tenor and like you I like the full on Rock n Roll sound.

Hobgoblin used to be good for flute bugs and stuff like that (in fact, amplification for all kinds of weird kit)- might be worth contacting them. If you ever see a bug for a musical saw, let me know!
