Just got a Grand Prix MKVI tenor saxophone neck clone made from German silver. It has 27.4mm shaft and fits perfectly my Andreas Eastman 52 Street tenor sax.
First impressions: more focused than the original neck and overtones (altissimo) come easier and better in tune than with the original neck. The neck seems to produce a more 'cultivated', less 'wild' tone (lacking better words), with a slightly higher blowing resistance. Intonation in the regular registers is exactly as good as with the original neck. The engraving is identical, so I wouldn't be surprised they come from the same maker.
Quite nice.
