Grace Kelly gives a rundown of her equipment in this video. Notice the sacrilege starting at 1:20! Am I hearing her right? Only three different mouthpieces in her life?? What's next, claiming that it's the player and not the equipment that makes the music? Feeling SO disgusted right now and I am at a loss how to respond adequately.

On a far less serious note: does anyone else oil their pads on a regular basis?

She is such a nice girl.
When I was living in Boston, I would play with her all the time at this jam session that we both went to. She was just a teenager at the time. I’m so proud of where she has gotten and where she is going. Fun to watch her progress.

Beautiful young woman. I saw her a couple years ago at an outdoor wine country concert and she was very impressive. Personally speaking, I don't think her equipment really means much to anyone but her. That's not to say we shouldn't be curious, I'm just saying most people with the same equipment will never sound like her, while someone with totally different equipment might. Anyway, she has a bubbly sweet personality that seems genuine and I hope she has continued success.

Does playing a lot of different Links count as one?
Alto is different than tenor. I’ve only played three alto mouthpieces all my life. It would have been two if my New York Meyer hadn’t been stolen with my SBA alto.

That reminds me...I need to oil my pads. It's been a very very long time (I'm a bad example but no, I don't do it)

One of the guys in my funk band sent this video of her playing with this sort of odd ball group. According to the credits she's on "big sax" which I admit as a bari player I got a chuckle out of.

Oh Ya! The Fearless Flyers. LOVE that project. Brought to you by some of Vulfpeck and Nate Smith. JOE DART!

That's a fun group. Check out some of Vulfpeck if you dig that stuff.

This tune is fun, there are so many! Lol. No horns, but worth it:)

Have a good one!

Interesting that Grace was a Yamaha endorser not too long ago and says in the FB video she has used a Mark VI for all her recordings.
This is very interesting... when I brought my horn to be overhauled by Manny at the Horn Connection a few years ago, he showed me Michael Lington's VI (it's a later one, can't remember the S/N but it was definitely not 5 digits) that he was working on at the time. He said that Michael also used the VI for his recordings, although he was a Yamaha endorser (and used the Yamaha in his public performances).
