Hello, i am looking for a mouthpiece that could give me a darker sound with good intonation on this yamaha sop. I have a meyer 5 which i have to put in almost all over the cork( dont know if that is the way of explaining it, excuse my english)
to give me decent intonation. Low notes are sharp and sound bad and disconnected off the range of the sax. I think is not a good mouthpiece.
The 4C seems very light to me, little sound, want something more open.
Love Steve Lacy's sound.
Thanks for helping.

Finally They had only one link, 7* which was great, tried with 3 strengh reeds. Good intonation and beautiful dark sound all around the sax, was surprised how much good it was compared to the meyer 5 and a bari 66 (if i remember) they let me try.
Now it's time to work chops, thank you for helping.
