Greetings All
Ive been looking around for a sop.

In my area there is a "Golden Cup" soprano for 500 dollars. From what Ive seen in Ebay the "Golden Saxophones" are selling for around 200.

Golden Cup is manufactured by Jiangyin Jiyang Musical Co so its a Chinese horn of unkown quality to me. Probably not very good.

Anyone have expeience with these horns, especially a sop?
Thanks

I tried a Golden Cup soprano a few days ago. It was a curvy, a Yani SC991 copy. Played quite good, better than many Chinese instruments. I could easily gig on it. But was selling new for around 325$. I intend to get one, as it's good for that price. But for 500$ probably not worth it. You could get a hardly used Kessler for around 550 and an Antigua/Jupiter for maybe 700. I've not tried those, but they have a very good reputation.
