What was it like to play? Was there any compromise to its tonality due to the slightly wider range?

Best that you ask Uwe as I found and arranged the purchase but sadly was never in possession of it myself.
I own a Couesnon Metropole alto I enjoy very much but obviously this is an entirely different and rare instrument.
