I've been playing sax for about 4 years. Last year I played Vivaldi Concerto in A Minor (arr. Dischinger) and took it to state level. This year the list is still pretty slim. But I noticed the Glasunov concerto on the list. It's really awesome! I'm just not sure I'm good enough. It's pretty hard, and I've heard there's a lot of bad recordings out there. I "think" I can do it, especially since the requirements are to cut between four after Rehearsal 21 and Rehearsal 50. I play some fairly advanced jazz music, and my technical facility is ever-improving. Any advice?

Abel - why would you ask a bunch of strangers who have never heard you play, if you're ready to play the Glazunov?
At least provide some sound files of your playing.
Sorry, I guess the title was misleading. I was just looking for some advice. I'm not really playing anything at the moment, I could try to record something on youtube....
