Is this theme tune (that a '70s kid like me used to watch when skiving off school) played on a glass harmonica (with rotating bowls) or a load of wine glasses?

And has anyone got a link to a picture of a crystal trombone (or even play one)? I remember seeing a picture of one in a book years ago - it works on a similar principle as the glass harmonica but has a series of glass rods all different lengths that the player rubs with wet fingers to produce trombone-like sounds, and the 'bell' is a large sheet of metal formed into a strange shape.

Strange, a friend and I were just discussing glass harmonicas last night... I was helping with the audio at a historic fashion show and for the 1890s they used glass harmonica. The range was higher than the youtube video, but I wouldn't know if that makes a difference of not. I'm not even sure I've seen one. Are you looking for recordings of the glass harmonica? I could probably get a copy of the old tape they had.

Crystal trombone... I can't even imagine.
