Hey guys and gals. I got to play a sax trio gig the other day and it was live streamed. The video is a little laggy, but the audio came out fairly good especially with headphones. Fun to play sax trio!!!

The group is called Triology and I co-lead it with my buddy Josh on the Drums.

It's a fairly up tempo and swingin version of Four.

We hope to be able to do a Sonny show at a club soon.

I hope everyone is well!

Very nice playing Simon. :)

Pity the drummer is so loud and present and the bass less (should have been the other way around).

That room was very boomy. Fun to play in, but the drums tended to dominate the mix with bleed.

On my headphones, the bass is very present. Just not on the computer speakers for me.

Thanks for checking it out though.

Great sounds Simon. Really excellent playing. Nice to hear you again. It's been a while. Best, Alex
Thanks Alex. It's been really busy lately and I haven't had as much time to get on the forum and do side projects. Hopefully I'll be able to get on here more.

Thanks Keith. I've been busy lately and haven't had much time for side stuff, like I was telling Alex. Good to hear from you though. I hope you and your wife are well :)

Fantastic playing Simon! And with a definite Sonny Rollins influence...
Thanks JL!!! I appreciate you listening.

I hope to perform the Freedom Suite soon and record it.

Checked again, but now with good headphones. Bass is indeed more present, but that drummer still destroys the openings theme (IMO)!

Did you use an 8 Florida USA Link here Simon?

Simon, I was excited to see a new post from SimonJazzSax after some disappearance...
Super!
I sincerely commented your clips few times and a complete "shock" :) of your playing during presentation of 10mfan mouthpieces.
Very special thing I found...
So, suggest again to SOTW members who didn't watch this clip to check out Simon's site (I discovered it from the post signature). Hope it is still there.
My opinion it is must see vid for sax players of all levels.

Best.
Michael.
