Has anyone EVER heard this concerto played live? I really think it's interesting. What are other people's thoughts on it (if you know of it)?

Performed it and loved it. It's one of the most dramatic works we have as saxophonists and is one the audience won't forget. Starting on an altissimo C at ff grabs their attention from the word go. The concerto has everything in Noda's bag of tricks, loud altissimo passages, soft circular breating with multiphonics, quarter tone melodies and flying finger work. In my mind well worth the effort and you'll be a better saxophonist for it.

I listened to the piece once on a saxophone exam and not particulary liked it... The start and end of the piece are very cool, but I don't really like the other sections...
