Hi all-

Playing on a Mauriat 66R tenor and a modified STM Link NY (Warburton mod). I have no issue playing a nice fat G3 but G#3 either splits right away or I can hit it for a few seconds before it either splits or falls to a lower harmonic.

So, voicing problem likely or fingering?

I am using this fingering oxx|xoo (2,3,4) if I remember correctly... Any other fingerings you'd suggest for this horn? I know G#2 is tricky from what I've read here.

First play F#3 by using octave, front F, Right Hand 1 (F key) and side Bb. Let go of Right Hand 1, and voice it up to G3. Then add side C to the mix to get G#3. Sometimes I'll also lip my A3 fingering (octave, 0XX/XXX) down to get G#3.
