I think either switch may present problems (the Bb to Eb improvisation issue; the huge size difference between tenor and sop). But, many do it and have done it.

My experience has been that after playing my tenor for a couple of hours, my altos and sopranos really sing. DAVE

I have gone from Alto to Tenor. Which is pretty much the same thing. Not really. On Alto, a Concert F is a D. Tenor concert F is a G. Once you get that down, it is not too diffucult to transpose. Also if you want the Alto to match the Tenor and you are tunning. Try playing the Low D. That will help with the pitch problems in figuring out tuning.

It is pretty simple. The only thing that gets me is the C instruments (Hymns). But I have time to figure it out.
