A couple of sax fellows, sharing section seats in local bands for quite some time (decades...), and suddenly, no rehearsals.
Why not take this time to work ourselves into one of those crunchy Supersax arrangements ?
There we go, 5 saxes and 1 piano from Switzerland, plus a drummer from way up there Norway.
2 of us saxes are members here, and the invisible bass is ... computer made.

Great job! I like the comedic aspects too. We all need to keep a sense of humor right now.
Thanks Pontius, we appreciate. And yes, keeping fun was essential, despite the challenging times... and score.

Merci Lionel, nous apprécions !

Thanks Simon, we appreciate your kind words.

Toot, Evilard, vraiment ? Incroyable. We are almost neighbours. Greetings from Lausanne.

Very nice David, beautiful playing and also a great job from video editing point of view.

And good to finally see you and Jacques after knowing each other for all those years through the forum!

Hi PB, thanks for your support. Well, Jacques and I have been playing in common bands for decades, in real life, a lot together with Niels, lead alto here. For some reason, we tend to stay each on his own in the connected world. The current circumstances inspired us to make an exception now.

Great job guys. So nice to hear a sax section with 5 different players. Makes for a more colourful sound in my humble opinion. Thanks for sharing your work here. Love the video too.

Hi sax1st, thanks for your words. You might be right. Intonation and timing remain a real challenge when not sitting together. Bars 2-3 in the second chorus of the head were more than tricky, as we tried to follow Supersax's super lazy phrasing from their later (2nd ?) album version.

Live Streaming concerts is the move of the present and future. And the band plays on.
Well, live streaming by remote (separate) musicians isn't yet that easy. We all hope to move back to live performances in some future.
