I also have been checking out your videos. Very good stuff.

Although I was slightly dissapointed because I thought we might be getting "free jazz" tips! Not "Free" jazz tips and tricks.

:D
But are there really any tips appropriate for “free jazz?” (Other than don’t play melodically?)

Free jazz doesn't actually proscribe melodic playing. In fact compared with mainstream jazz in which many players are tied down to chord tones and scales it can be a lot more melodic and or lyrical.

There are a loot of preconceptions out there in regard to the term free jazz.

One day I will write some free jazz tips and tricks (you'll have to pay for them though :) )

You’re right, of course, Pete, but I was much more just kidding around than making a factual assertion . . . .
