How would you characterize the difference from the older Showboat to the generation 2. Ive heard the clips on you tube but I have no clue what these guys sounded like on their pieces. Thats always something to pay attention to. I like hearing what they ussually sound like on their oldpieces. I really like my showboat 6. recorded lots of vids with it and lots of gigs. But theres a raspyness that I' love in Sanborns tone that I'm going for. I have a Duk 7 from the 89s that plays great, but my showboat blows it out of the water f ro what I want. So anybody out there made that switch and what happened? K *maybe steve has one on his site K

I just heard Steve on his showboat and i'll experiment with reeds more. His sound is killer on that piece and its the same as I use now. K
