Hey guys, i have taken particular interest into the bari player Ronnie Cuber and his jazz tone. I have a few questions for people who are jazz bari players.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I6sRAHpBagc

In this video i love his jazz bari tone. Could this tone be produced with a Selmer Series 2 bari? And how would the setup have to be, because he is not playing on a metal jazz mouthpiece.

My second question is, what is the song they start playing and 1:30?

Thanks.

Without a doubt, Ronnie Cuber could produce this tone on a Series II. Whether or not another player could depends on 1) that players tonal concept and his ability to realize it. 2) To a lesser degree, the mouthpiece/reed combo and 3) lastly, the brand/model of horn he's playing.
