I have made my first two recordings.

The first recording contains the song "I Wish I Knew How It Would Feel To Be Free". I played it July 1st during a small 'concert'. All sax-students of Ric played songs for their family and friends. It was my very first performance (nervous of course), since I only play the alto sax since september 2006. So it is the result of almost a year of lessons and practising. The film has advertisement all over, as I did not have the right converter for my quicktime movie at the time, so shut your eyes and listen.

The second recording contains the song "Flying Home". I started practising this song a few days ago. So it is just a first attempt:

Hope you enjoy the songs!

watching/listening to Flyin home... not bad at all. From a sound standpoint, you should be closer to the mic, a lot of room ambiance. Now as a video guy I know most consumer level camcorders these days do not have an input for an external mic, which is a real shame. So move the camera closer, and have it aimed more directly at the sound source. also close the curtains behind you, or change position so you are not back lit. It would just look better.
(I tend to ramble on these subjects)

as for the real purpose... sounds good, it is a quick tune, if you want to hear it fast check out Big Jay McNeely's version of it... whew!!! tone sounds good. Keep it up!
