Fingering for note D ( fourth line of Pentagram) used by Jeff Siegfried.....?

Hello fellow Sax Players :
when watching a video on YouTube where Jeff Siegfried is playing OBLIVION composed by Astor Piazzola, I noted that he uses a different fingering to play the note D.
Please, see the video , here:
If you pay attention , at 0:33 seconds he uses his left little finger to press the key that is used to play low B....
I was looking at different fingering charts ( Soprano Sax ) and I could not find that alternate fingering ....
Any explanation ?
Many thanks in advance

I often use my left pinky to close the low B key, while playing D2, while using the first 3 fingers of both hands (plus the octave key).
On my late Mark VI alto, this improves the intonation.
I am guessing this is why Mr. Siegfried is doing this.

Too bad I did not buy the P Mauriat alto I tried at Dylan Music about 5 years ago. For me it had all the free-blowing positive characteristics of my Mark VI, but its intonation was locked in.
