Hi all,

Those of you who have played the Koechlin etudes: which are your favorites and/or the most enjoyable to perform?

Thinking of working on a few, and would appreciate suggestions as to where to start...

Thanks!

1,2,11.

2 is just beautiful, and is a test of your control and understanding of phrasing. It provides a wealth of opportunity to be expressive. One of my favorite pieces of music!

Thanks for the suggestions! Sounds like I should start with #2.

I also love number 1. And like number 11. #3 is freaking difficult! The rest I haven't spent enough time on to really give an informed opinion.
