As challenging as 2020 has been overall, there have been a few very bright spots, and one of them for me was getting to work on this album. Owen Duff is a brilliant songwriter, composer, and producer in the UK, and I had the privilege of contributing some saxophones and woodwinds to his upcoming album, the first single from which was released today. This particular song I find almost shockingly beautiful. When I first heard the track that I used as a recording reference, my thoughts were "where the hell did this guy come from" and "why isn't he famous already," and that was before it was remotely finished. Give it a listen if you have a few minutes, it might make your day a little brighter and we all need that right now.
