This is a ROY Charles (NOT RAY) saxophone, a Chinese made instrument sold by, I believe, a German company.
There is really nothing special about this or any other sax they sell (they don’t make them).

Just a very cheap Chinese made sax, nothing wrong, per se, with it. Incidentally, RAY CHARLES played alto saxophone and was very good at it.

But that’s a different story.

Yes, I did know he played the alto, heard a few of his recordings, he was gifted all round

It's interesting to note that it's the same sax in each video, it seems he kept the same horn throughout his career. Looks like a Selmer SBA to me.

You mean he didn’t spend all of his time on SOTW marketplace trying to find the perfect serial number horn? ;)
