A couple of months ago I had signed up my daughter for a jazz camp and somehow, in an amazing way her Morgan mouthpiece got stuck on her alto neck. She plays on a Yani A992. I took it to a local tech who had to get ahold of Doc Tenney for advice. He suggested packing the neck with dry ice and lukewarm water on the mouthpiece. I am sure the tech was nervous doing this but...with careful pulling pressure the mouthpiece came off with no damage to either the neck or mpc. I come to find out that Yani solders a metal ring on the end of the neck for some reason. The shop unsoldered this and replaced the cork so hopefully that will never happen again. I think this was a close call but all worked out.
