Eugene McDaniels

This is belated and I can't believe I missed this but Eugene McDaniels passed away in July this year. He had a few hits of his own as he was a accomplished jazz/pop singer, but what he is most remembered for is penning the song "Compared to What" for Les McCann that was on the Les McCann Eddie Harris live recording "Swiss Movement." That was a spontaneous project that became a jazz hit if you can get your mind around that oxymoron.
