love this band and this performance specifically. This blues "So Long Eric" (on alto this time) is also phenomenal.

I think this is the same band on the Charles Mingus Presents Charles Mingus album. The Mingus-Dolphy exchange on What Love is all time jaw dropping.

I like watching the other horn players' faces while Dolphy is soloing. Pretty much what my face would be doing. Not many guys have created their own musical language like he did.
