thanks george, i got your message, but i sent one earlier today and it never arrived. afaik, none of the emails i have attempted to send have ever reached the intended party.I just tried to ping you via e-mail. Let me know the results.
Cheers,

That's right but unless they have enabled email there won't even be a link for you to send.Try contacting them via PM.
I think there might be something in their settings that they have to enable to receive emails thru the forum.
pm works fine, but if you're trying to reach someone who hasn't been on the forum for a while, email is the only option.Try contacting them via PM.
pete, i sent an email thru the forum - i'm guessing you have it enabled.That's right but unless they have enabled email there won't even be a link for you to send.
Well theoretically there should not be, maybe that is the issue. People have not enabled email yet the link still shows in their profile?
I have disabled PMs as most of the time I cannot access them on mobile, not to mention privacy reasons.
Yes I got itpete, i sent an email thru the forum - i'm guessing you have it enabled.
i got yours as wellYes I got it
I also sent one to you and Dr G
pete, you are probably already aware of this, but there are two email settings - 1) accept email from moderator, 2) accept email from members. as an admin, your being able to receive an email could be tied to your position.Ok so either it's working or else it has an issue whereby if disabled for some users, the sender is not aware, ie it shows an email link when it shouldn't
In my experience the form gets submitted, but email never reaches destination.In my general settings there are boxes to check;
Recieve email from administrators
Receive email from other members
Receive friendship request email
I don't know if the sender would receive a notification stating that the recipient hasn't enabled email from members. Or if the address is no longer active.
