For those of you who ever pass by Seattle, a great new venue for jazz is Egan's Ballard Jam House: http://www.ballardjamhouse.com.

There is live music 5 nights a week, all ages until 11:00pm. All kinds of bands have took the stage, from traditional jazz to electronic to singer-songwriter bands to world music. The bands are mainly local acts.

As someone who works for the venue, I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking to play in Seattle. The room is small but intimate.

Looks like a bice place. I used to play a lot at the old Ballard Firehouse around the corner. Wish I could make it. I noticed a lot of old friends on their pictures. Chris Stover, Mark Taylor, Phil Sparks, etc... good players out there. Next time I visist I will try to make it out there.
