Hi,

I am 47. I played in high school and would like to get back into playing. I've been researching on this site for a few days, and have noticed a lot of warnings about eBay scams. I've also seen warnings to buy from reputable dealers who offer a return policy.

My question is do eBay sellers who are ranked as "eBay Top Sellers" count as reputable? I've seen some of those who offer a three day return and state that they bring their saxes up the GPC prior to listing. I know to still take a used horn to my local shop for an evaluation/tune-up despite such claims, and will check there to see what they have for sale and for how much before buying off eBay, but I just wanted to be aware of all my options.

Thanks,
Kevin

You've got to jump through a lot of customer service hoops and have very good customer satisfaction ratings to be a "Top Rated" seller on ebay. So, the short answer is yes, "Top Sellers" are generally reputable. With that said, it always pays to ask some questions.
