Their thoughts are typically not well translated in these ads. I'm currently using an Eastern Music Soprano sax and mouthpiece, and an alto neck. Pretty good stuff. I tried two of the mouthpieces and they both played well, but I went back and got a bigger tip. The Chinese mouthpieces I have seen use a different numbering system that is way low - a 7 is about a 4. I ended up with a 12 but its not that open.

Sooner or later these guys are going to figure it out. I have a neck and I just got a Fatboy DG inspired mouthpiece from Eastern that's not bad. It would help them immensely to hire an ad person who is fluent at English and knows something about selling musical instruments.

I'm chasing a few threads here, to find out more about Eastern Music . I'm very interested in their Metal Alto 7 piece at $100 (£77) But there's nothing to indicate the tip opening....I need a 0.83 - 0.85 maybe 0.86 max
It all sounds like a shoot in the dark regards what they call a 7 tip opening..
any feed back on this would be good .

I can highly recommend Eastern Music. They are indeed catching up rapidly.
Regarding tip openings. I have a Chinese metal mouthpiece that is labeled as a 9, but actually is more like a 7 on the Otto Link scale.
It's always a shot in the dark.

I have been buying from Eastern for more than 4 years now, and have to say they go out of their way to keep customers
happy.

In all those years and many products I have never felt ripped off and in fact 90% of the mouthpieces I have bought needed no additional
facing to play very well.

I don't ever expect much out of a $40 metal mouthpiece but if I like it enough I can have it facing properly.

I think the Wang's do a great job
