Suggetions on how will I develop the ability to identify pitches, chords etc.
Anybody has excperience with this http://www.perfectpitch.com/ ?

It promises way to much to be true.

He has a cool eartrainer you can do online or download it for free.
You can sing intervals, chord, melodies, call and response or play it by ear with your instrument.
