I'm looking at a Dukoff Rodium plated brass D6 tenor piece on Ebay and was wondering what (if any) difference there would be between that and the more commonly found silverite pieces that are out. Mostly sound-wise. Any input appreciated.

I highly doubt Dukoff ever plated in Rhodium. It is Silver or maybe Nickel over brass. No sound difference IMO due to material. They just hold up better over time when the material is harder.

I found the one you are asking about on Ebay, and the ad says rhodium plated, but sellers do not always know. But it looks like someone removed some material from the early part of the baffle, but there is no mention of this in the sale post. You might want to spend some time comparing baffles to other Dukoff pieces.

It kind of looks like nickel plating over brass, not rhodium.
