I have a Dukoff D8, it's about 2 years old. It has become quite dull and dark. I was wondering if it would be a good idea to use brasso for silver to shine it up again? If not any ideas to restore it?

If it's the standard unplated 'Silverite' you can clean it with metal polish. Silver polish probably won't be beefy enough.
It's a bit of a pointless exercise though, as it won't be long before it looks all dull again.

Stay away from the tip and rails though.

Regards,

I would recommend against cleaning off the dark gray surface layer of oxidation on older Silverite Dukoffs. This layer is harder than the underlying material and offers a layer of protection against small dinks and ligature scuffs. It is not so hard as to protect the tip from a drop on a hard floor. But it does help a little.
