I am trying to convince my quartet/quintet to do this tune, but I am not getting any enthusiasm. I remember it from an old Erroll Garner CD where he just swings his ***** off on it, but I don't have the CD anymore.

I consider this the 'Definitive Reference Recording' for this tune. And by this I don't mean the recording that is just so far removed that it's inaccessible and now stylistic inappropriate to the era, genre, melody, lyrics.

So for you what is the 'Definitive Reference Recording' for "A Fine Romance"?

How about the original?

Fred Astaire-Ginger Rogers
in the movie 'Swingtime'.
