That's a pimp horn. Sarge has been doing this to a lot of these older selmers. It's a lot of money, but at least you know it going to play well with Sarge doing the work.

Well....So if you guys like Sarges horn, then you need to know that the inspiration for it is on sale too- and it's a heck of a lot nicer work (and all done by Sarge to my specs- fully engraved including an angel inside the bell, all keys engraved including key guards, oversized sterling silver reso-tech resonators, black goatskin pads, black felts, teflon and synth cork all throughout)plus some satin gold and bright gold plating.

I call it Pimpus Maximus II

What Sarge says about these horns in his auction description is indeed spot on.

But yeah, sarge has a beautiful horn there, and I'm even more impressed about what he says about how it sounds. Almost makes me want to take up the bari. Selling my car wouldn't come close to covering the price, though, so I'm glad I'm a tenor player and won't have to drool too much.
