Does anyone have experiences with both of these microphone? I'm looking to buy a clip-on mic and narrowed down to these two. If I'm buying the DPA 4099s, I will buy a wireless system to make it wireless, so it might be a bit more expensive, but lets say money is not a factor here.

Thanks,
Kenny.

If money is not a factor, I would always go with DPAs.

I haven't used this model, but I've used DPA elements on body mikes in Musical theatre, and I've used DPA microphones before they were DPA, and were still Bruel & Kjaer.

They're definitely in a class by themselves

I've always heard that the Wi-5 and other AMT mics were second to none. I play in a wedding band where the rest of the horn section uses Wi-5, and I have a friend who uses a Roam 1 Elite, and they sound phenomenal. Never heard of the DPA, but after looking at a pic, I think I've played through a couple of those in various studios/videos. Also sounded great, if that's what they were.

Thanks Hakukani & Dan, I'll probably go with the DPA 4099S model.
