A few days (or weeks) ago, a member suggested how to do this by removing part of the link name of Youtube and that would bring you to a site which allowed downloading.

I did it then and worked but now I can’t remember how it was , does anyone know?

I have, and of course knowing very well how search engines work (not only here but in general, if you pardon me a little arrogance, I think that know a thing or two on how to search on internet and on this site but that is no guarantee...) I also know that the search terms are crucial , and yes, I have tried many search terms.

Anyway I HAVE remembered how to do it and that is to remove the " ube" from the address and that takes you to the site which allows download

Now we have a tread which probably will be searchable in future and hopefully useful to others, when searching , not the most popular thing to do with a substantial amount of the membership, I know. :twisted:

wikiHow also lists a couple of methods that can be used if that particular site should fail.

Will have to give it a try once I'm off the clock, this seems to be one of the many pages my IT dept has explicitly blocked from my work network. I guess they don't consider ripping youtube vids a valid use of company resources. Go figure.

Delete “ube” from the URL and hit enter. Works perfectly everytime for me!
