I took my new soprano in to have it checked for leas after shipping, in addition I took my old one also. I was surprisd at the difference in both saxes after having them serviced. I plan on taking mine in at least every 6 months from now on. Mayho
Tom: I'll agree that an occasional going-through is a good thing, but I'm thinking every six months may be overdoing it a bit. Maybe having a leak-light is a better way to go . . . then when things don't seem right, run the light through it. It doesn't take a genius to suspect mechanical flaws - I'd wait until that happens.
