Recording yourself and trying to learn from what you hear is a good addition to learning to play the horn.

Right on Bob, keep working it. But don't misuse play-a-longs. I've done this for a lot of years and now I'm really starting to use them to my benefit. Here's some sage advice from Bob Reynolds.

Bob, you play very well for only two months! And, I'm in no way trying to discourage you from using the play-alongs. I just wanted to make you aware so that you don't get stuck in a rut like I did.
