Well you can laugh if you want to.

Found a guy on YouTube who posts hundreds of jam along track so I recorded myself trying to play along with one of them...lol

I know I'm a beginner but I think this can help me as part of practicing.

Most of it is me just trying to find the notes...hahaha

Right on Bob, keep working it. But don't misuse play-a-longs. I've done this for a lot of years and now I'm really starting to use them to my benefit. Here's some sage advice from Bob Reynolds.

Thank you for the link. He makes a lot of sense.

The play along's are only part of my practice. I also do stuff that I see on "Better Sax" and "Sax School", as well as just playing scales and long tones. I think practicing in different ways adds benefits to better learning.

But I've only been playing a 2 or 3 months, so I have a long way to go...lol

Bob, you play very well for only two months! And, I'm in no way trying to discourage you from using the play-alongs. I just wanted to make you aware so that you don't get stuck in a rut like I did.

I understand, but I may get stuck in other ruts that I have not thought of yet... hahahaha

Thanks again.
