Have you compared the tone of the SBA soprano to the Selmer VI sopranos ? How would you explain the difference ?

How is the intonation on your SBA soprano ... especially with the palm keys ?

There are not alot of comments about the SBA sopranos on SOTW ... it makes a person wonder why.

There are not a lot of comment about the because thee are so darn few of them around for anyone to have or try.
The intonation is very good, the tone is warm, buzzy and edgy with a dark core. I think it is a very focused sound really and I actually think it is brighter than most 5 digit VI sopranos I've tried, but not necessarily louder. The VI can be a bit more nasal but maybe bigger or louder than SBA.. really though it is kind of unreliable, they are all a bit different. It is I think, very dependent on what mouthpiece you put on it. SBA soprano is better than most later VI's in the area of tone first of all, which could be said to be the most important aspect.
