Hi,

I have ordered a mouthpiece online on saxalley.com. However, I did not receive any shipping info and the order status is pending.

I have noticed Tim at Sax alley are receiving his heart surgery right now. But I just need to know when will he be back to business so that I can get my mouthpiece.

Really URGENT for performance use!!!

Thank you Guys!!

Cool your jets, Chun.

I don't know how they do things where you are, but here people are not disposable and we actually pull together as a community and give each other a hand (or at least cut some slack) when one of our own is suffering with a health problem or other hardships. I guesss you could say it comes from our Judeo-Christian heritage.

Tim is a real class act and a good God-fearing man. I would try to come up with an alternative until you get a reply, though I would keep emailing him every week.

To be honest, I hadn't heard he was going in for yet another surgery, which I think might be his 4th or 5th (so thanks for alerting me to this news). And I think we should all pray for his speedy recovery, rather than apply more pressure.

I remember when he had surgery four or so years ago folks were whining about slow orders then, too. Hopefully things will go a little classier and ethically this time around.

Holy-Moly!!! :faceinpalm: Cool YOUR jets, Whippet........What does anything whatsoever have to do with "our Judeo-Christian heritage" or anyone being a "god fearing man"? As opposed to what? The heathen non-god fearing people or some other religious heritage that of course not being "Judeo Christian" would not be patient about someone having heart surgery? [rolleyes]

The fact is that he took at least one order for a mouthpiece and hasn't filled it. If you are so hip on helping your fellow "god fearer" and want to do more than just "pray for a speedy recovery", volunteer some time and go fill some orders, Drwhippet. No need to come down on someone asking a reasonable question. If he needed to fill orders before getting surgery, he should have done so or hired someone to do some kind of customer service.

No, the fact is that Chun placed an ONLINE order (per his post). This may or may not have happened before Tim had surgery. He may not even know about it. It's entirely possible that a website owner could pass away and orders would still be taken automatically. (Hopefully that in NOT the case here)

Chun, when exactly did you place this order? Have you tried emailing or calling? The phone # is on the website - (970) 674-0222. Try this email, it's the one I used to communicate with Tim when I bought my Super 20 tenor from him earlier this year - [email protected]

Tim's a good guy, who's had a tough row to hoe due to his health. But he provided me a great horn at a great price, and packed it better than any other horn I've received from any retailer.

In the meantime, if you need the mouthpiece urgently for a gig, you may want to order elsewhere and cancel your Sax Alley order.

Chun, where did you read about Tim's heart surgery? He's had several, and it's possible that you could have been reading old news. If it's current, I'd like to know about it, so that I can send Tim my best wishes.

Thanks for the reply. I placed an online order on Oct.11 and made payment via VISA. I tried to call the number of his store but there's only voicemail. And i got this info from an auto-reply email that says this:
Dear Emailer,

I will be going in for open heart surgery this week (10-10-11) and would appreciate your prayers.

I will do my best to continue to serve you. bt will be in recovery for while. In the meantime, we will only be seeing people by appointment. There will be no regular hours so please do not stop by unannounced.

Your calls and emails will be returned as quickly as possible. Please give us patience as things will take a bit longer than usual.

All orders will need to be placed by email since there is no guarantee of anyone being in the shop at any given time.

Current repairs in the shop will be finished as quickly as possible and you will be called when they are completed.

Thank you for your patience and prayers as we continue to deal with my health.

Lord bless!

Thanks for the reply. I cannot even contact Tim by any means. At the same time, the online order seems cannot be cancelled.

I will surely pray for his health and sooner recovery. But is there any other person in his store that can answer the questions or fill the order?

I just spoke with Shauna Glesmann, she is making return calls and filling product orders. She stated Tim has been released from the hospital and home recuperating. He just needs to rest and get his strength back. Anyway if you have an order pending call Sax Alley and leave your contact information Shauna will return your call.

I have had clients tell me about this thread so I am posting to end all questions as to whether or not Sax Alley is back to business.

In October of 2011 I had open heart surgery to bypass the 7 stents that had been placed in my heart to open clogged arteries over an 11 year period. The surgery was very successful and I am now feeling better than I have in about 6 years. I am back to full time work and doing better than expected.

My apprentice, Shawna Glendenning, did her best to stay on top of things while I was out recovering and did an exemplary job, considering all that was left for her in my unexpected absence.

For general information, we ARE NOT a huge operation so our turn around times can be a bit slower than businesses that have large numbers of employees. If you are in a hurry for something or for your horn to be finished, call or email and let me know and I will get on it right away.

Thanks for the prayers of all those who were offering them for myself and my family through this trial. God has given me a second chance with my heart and I am grateful for it.

Lord bless you all!

Hello Tim,

I am sorry to know that you had such serious problems with your health, and I am really glad you are doing better now.

I have sent you a couple of emails regarding the payment I have made on Friday for a Buescher sax. Could you please confirm to me that you have received those or anything?
I understand that you are running a small business, and it may take some time for you to arrange the things, and I don't mind about that. It's just that I would like to be aware of what is happening, especially when it is about the payment.
Hope to hear from you soon,
And get better

I had no idea Tim!!!

All the best, and speedy recovery. My father had a quadruple bypass in '98, and technology has come a long way since. "Routine surgery" as they call it now.

Enjoy your valentines day and get better soon!!!

Coudl anybody please share some infor with me. It's just that my thread is ignored, my posts are ignored, my mails to Tim are ignored.... it's just a little bit of information that I want... Tomorrow will be already a week since I've sent the money for the sax, but I still don't even know if it arrived alright etc. I understand it may take some time to get the sax prepared, and I am not in a hurry. But it would be very relieving to have ANY information!
