I thought I had posted a clip of Dave Rempis on this thread, but it seems to have disappeared?

Anyway, how about Herr Brotz for some serious shredding??
My ears are bleeding.... in a good way.
Sounds like Coltrane from ascension, om, etc. Didn't bird & trane pave the way for the (guitar) shredders like vai, gilbert, petrucci, cooley, etc?

I only shred when I am wearing my spandex.
That's where I'm going wrong!
I was trying some finger tapping on my Little Sax the other day and found it's very tricky to get right.
Luckily I still have the white tiger spandex pants I wore onstage in the 90s, so expect a recording that blows your mind any day now!
Thanks for the tip! 😎

Yes!

Sometimes I feel stupid doing it. But you can get a crowd hootin and hollering with some really cliche pentatonic and minor pentatonic lines played up and down the horn.

Up into a big split tone altissimo.

Only works if you can actually here yourself.... Lol.
Yes.
sometimes the playback sounds great too. You can surprise yourself.

and sometimes you just crash and burn....

Kenny G shreds pretty hard in this live performance with Michael Bolton.
