Hi folks, Im just starting out as a doubler now, have learnt and can play my saxophones, just starting out in the clarinets. My question is I have a couple of alto and bass clarinets, what is the differenc e between a Bundy Selmer and a Selmer, there both ebonite they both are identical to each other in every way possible right down to the amount of knurlings in the trim bands ect, whats the diff. Anyone please.

Bundy was Selmer's line of student instruments for a while, especially in the late 60's to early 80's, I believe. If you check around online, you can find a more comprehensive guide.

As student instruments go, Bundy is, IMHO, quite good. I learned clarinet on a Bundy, and only upgraded because it took a whack from somebody while marching.

Thanks, so does that mean they are both the same if it saids selmer then its the same as bundy selmer, or was the term bundy dropped for the newer instruments or are they a different line from the same factory
