A discussion in another thread turned to the topic of "on the fly" repairs saxophone players sometimes are required to do when their horn stops playing on a gig, or between times it is possible to take it in for repair. This discussion reminded me of a paper I wrote several years ago to present to band teachers in my state that I would like to share for those who are interested. I have limited what I have uploaded to tips for woodwinds without including brass and percussion. Comments, questions, or suggestions for additions of course are welcome.
