Guy from Japan has a DG tenor piece on ebay for nearly $3000. He calls it 'SP' but in the description you learn this means 'silver plated'. I think he might state it is a Studio. My point is, he does not show the markings on it, and it appears to be modified. Silver is pretty good all over except the baffle and throat, which is raw brass with a dark patina. The baffle is shorter than any tenor Studio I've seen, even shorter than my alto Studio. The throat looks like it was opened up.

I think it is junk unless he can prove Dave Guardala modified this Studio for Michael Brecker, which I'm quite sure did not happen.

Hope I'm not stepping on anybody's toes but it is what it is, and it ain't what it ain't.
