An Alto forsale locally. A1342 serial number. Where was it made? When ? Who made it? Stencil ? Probably made by D'Andrea strap makers or maybe the famous sax player himself?

I doubt both of those prospects....but, heck.... not a bad guess...

Is it vintage or newer ? The serial number suspiciously sounds like either a Vito/Kenosha/Beaugnier or an Orsi...if it's old.

A photo would help significantly.....

with a serial number like that and no pictures......... Orsi Made in Italy, '60 to '70 stencil

I like the old brass on this one. Resembles my Vitos that I prize ... But I dont think as good as Vitos

I did overhaul Orsi stencil but was not impressed

Grassi is best Italian vintage horn that I have found but maybe someone knows of better ones ?
