Hello,

In regards to some discussion that sometimes arises, like in the case of the saxholder permitting or not certain dance moves, well... can your sax holder do this?

My saxholder can't do that, no. But I can when I'm wearing it.

Although hopping from one foot to the other , is that really dancing? I suppose it is, yes.

Well then Pete, I guess you're one of us that has to keep playing if you still haven't figured out how to train your saxholder to do it.
Maybe offering it better conditioner when washing will persuade it?

I have a hard enough time finding a strap that can keep my back from hurting while just standing during a three hour gig - forget the dancing. Now if we could just get some old ladies to come to our gig and dance like that, we'd be doing OK :)

BTW, my Vandoren strap theoretically would let me doing any of those moves while playing, even if my body won't.

That video looks like bad marching.

When I saw “dancing with saxophone”, I immediately thought of this video.

Off topic, but that's one of the all time great TOP tunes. Even I have to dance to that one. Sometimes hipness is what it ain't!

Amen. I still remember seeing them for the first time at the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium in ‘73.

And the opening act? Cheech and Chong!

You’ve got to funkifize...
