hey i got a jupiter 889sg tenor and the engraving on it sucks. So i was thinking about having a pro add to it and before i do this i wanted to know what kind of affect it would have on the value, etc. also if anyone knows a good pro near atlanta georgia that would help too.

thanks

I just bought an H.Couf alto from Jason Dumars. He'd done some engraving work to the bell. Beautiful work! My wife loved it!!

You can see some of his work at his website and on My Space also.

Check at: www.dumarsengraving.com

Hope that helps a little.

Value... It'll still be a Jupiter 889SG tenor. Don't do anything to any horn if you are worried about the resale. Do it with the commitment that you intend to keep it and play it until it wears out.

What are you doing looking at the engraving anyhow???

It sounds as if you're buying the horn just for the sake of resale value?

Honestly, what does the engraving matter? As long as the horn plays good, I'd be perfectly happy with it.
